Linda was born in the early 50’s in a Texas town, to a military father and a stay at home mother. She is the first child born into this family and has one brother and three sisters. Her father served America for 26 years in the US Airforce, retiring when Linda was 17 years old. Therefore, her childhood was spent traveling and making new roots every 3-4 years as his airbase station changed. During her childhood she lived in Texas, Kansas, Alaska and Hawaii. By the time she reached 17, she had visited or traveled through 22 states and Canada.

With each trip across central or the western United States, her parents introduced her to a huge variety of God’s creations by visiting state parks to see lakes, waterfalls, mountains, forests, deserts, and the wilderness. At age 5 and again at age 8 her family drove the unpaved “Alcan Highway” across Canada to and from Alaska camping along the way in the very low populated wilderness. They lived for 3 years in Alaska before it became a state and another 3 years in Hawaii in the 60s.

From a very young age, Linda desired to become a nurse. The story in “Patsy’s Calling” about Patsy’s interest in the medical field and the influence her grandmother’s medical book had on her carrier choice is true but applies to the author. She accomplished her dreams by putting herself through nursing school after she had both her children and advanced from an LVN to an RN then received certification in Rehabilitation Nursing, Diabetes Education and as a Patient Assessment Coordinator.

Linda continues to work full time after over thirty-five years’ experience in a variety of settings and positions including a small-town hospital, skilled nursing center and in the field of rehabilitation nursing.

Married for 50 years as of July 19, 2019, Linda has 2 children, a son and a daughter, who have given her the blessings of 6 grandchildren who she loves dearly.

There is nothing more important in her life than her Lord.
Linda accepted Christ as her savior at the young age of 6 and continues to serve in her local non-denomination congregation by teaching children’s church, serving on the hospitality team, being part of the prayer team, being part of the ministry team and hosting a small Bible study group in her home.

The goal of her books is to demonstrate and teach principles of living a Christian life while giving the unsaved the information they need to accept Christ as their personal savior. She hopes that her readers will enjoy a good story while investigating examples of how putting Christ first in their lives can provide them with the peaceful and satisfying life that is possible when you allow Jesus to lead you through life on earth.
Patsy’s Calling is Linda’s first book which she is praying will be successful. She has plans for others.
